You got to crawl before you walk,
You got to crawl before you walk
You got to crawl before you walk yourself away
You got to crawl before you walk
And there ain't never time to talk
You got to crawl before you run yourself away.
You got to walk before you run
You got to walk before you run
You got to walk before you run yourself away
You got to walk before you run
Whether in the rain or in the sun
You got to walk before you run yourself away
I didn't want to
Run run run run the wrong way
Did you ever see the man up in the clouds
she's looking down from the sky
he will tear you all to pieces in a matter of a blink of an eye
Did you ever see the girl she's walking down the street
and lookin' so fine.
You ain't never gonna see me cry
You ain't never gonna see me die.
You got to run be for you fly
You got to run be for you fly
You got to run be for you fly yourself sky high
You got to run be for you fly
and please don't ever ask me why
you got to run before you run
You got to run be for you fly yourself away.

Oh, good god gracious
Oh, you carry often
Oh, you carry often
Good great god
Beg darlin' please til the break of dawn
Beg darling please, til the work is done.
Beg darlin please, til the dead are gone,
and then rise up and carry on home.
Oh, good god gracious
Oh, you carry often
Oh, you carry often
Good great god

BIG TREES
There were big men, in silhouette, they moved fast beyond the marshes, just before the boats.
They moved so fast they never moved, the world beyond a moat.
One day they said they would uproot, a taste for bigger things.
They grew too large and moved too slow to keep up with coming spring.
They settled onto solid ground, as their feet dug into soil.
The boats had passed, along with spring, the fall, then winter spoil.
One lonely ship sailed by, years past,
picked up those left behind.
And saw some trees, in silhouette, never moved beyond the marshes,
their barked stripped bare, yet swore the world was kind.
